Dr. Mark Macauda is a medical anthropologist who has been involved with reproductive health projects in the Philippines and in the Northeastern United States. He has also conducted research on the perceptions, experiences, and prevention behaviors of individuals who live in areas endemic for Lyme disease. As a member of the Office of Practice and Community Engagement, Dr. Macauda oversees a state-wide evaluation of pregnancy prevention programming for youth, and is involved with tobacco cessation research.
