B: Perlie Evans, back, no, in old times she used to card and spin and weave to clothe her children, what was that?

I2: Well how, how, how did they used to do it xx?

B: They, back in old times they made shoes.

I2: Well, how?

B: Uh calf hides, and the, the menfolks wore uh linsey britches, cotton shirts, they wove them.

I: How ...

B: Out of linsey they wove ... in the chimney.

I: How'd they cook?

B: Cookin an old-time kettle on the fireplace, they didn't have no stove xx, and they carded and spun their cotton and wove them.
