Fall Arts Season begins With USC Faculty Art Show at Tapp’s Arts Center
A free, month-long exhibition of recent artwork by the university’s visual arts faculty will open at Tapp’s Arts Center on October 3, 2013. The exhibition features an extensive and varied body of work including sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, prints and time-based installations. The Department of Art faculty consists of well-recognized artists exhibiting in numerous galleries and museums throughout the nation and internationally. The works, in various media, will be on display October 3 - October 31, 2013, with a public reception at Tapp’s Arts Center from 5-9 p.m. on October 3.
Exhibiting faculty artists include: Virginia Scotchie, Bob Lyon, Simon Tarr, Evan Meaney, Kathleen Robbins, Sara Schneckloth, Marius Valdes, Laura Kissel, Meg Griffiths, Eliot Dudik, Dawn Hunter, Mary Robinson, Kara Gunter, Stephanie Nace, Laura Steckel, Amanda Ladymon, Ansley Adams, Jimmy Henderson, and Mana Hewitt among others.
In addition to individual artworks in the main gallery space, there will be a time-based art installation in the screening room representing work by a number of faculty artists. Tapp’s Arts Center hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
