Andrew Graciano publishes chapter in book on artists’ emotions

“Pride, Anger, Affection, Humor and Sympathy in the Correspondence of Joseph Wright of Derby,” appears in Facts and Feelings: Retracing Emotions of Artists, 1600-1800, eds. Hannelore Magnus and Katlijne Van der Stighelen (Brepols, 2015). The book was released in March 2015 at an event celebrating “the publication of five important studies” on Early Modern art at Peter Paul Rubens’s country estate Het Steen, hosted by the University of Leuven, the Rubenianum in Antwerp, and the King Boudewijn Society of Belgium. The chapter stems from an invited talk given at a symposium in December 2012 at the University of Leuven.
