Michael Cooper - Spring 2013

Michael Cooper received his MFA in sculpture from the University of California at Berkeley in 1969. From 1977 - 2004 Michael taught wood at De Anza College in Cupertino, California. In 2004 he took a position at the California College of Art in San Francisco where he taught until till 2009.


Michael Cooper will be visiting USC March 25, 26, and 27 where he will conduct a 3 day workshop and lecture about his work. His workshop will center around constructing wooden bent laminations, but may also include segments on turning, metal working, and various other subjects as his expertise is far reaching. He will also spend time with our students, talking to them about their work. The workshop is free and open to the public. Hours will be approximately 9 AM – 4 PM each day.
