A native of Spain, she has been teaching at USC since 1999. She came to the US with her American husband, Derek, whom she met and married in Spain. After living in Delaware for a few years, they moved to South Carolina, where she found the profession that has become a true passion for her, teaching her native language. She earned her M. A. degree from USC in the year 2000, and began teaching Spanish while in graduate school. She teaches beginning, intermediate and advanced level Spanish courses. Her contribution to the program includes being the coordinator of the roving TA’s.
