Classics Summer Courses for 2017

CLAS 220J (May 8-June 22) Introduction to Classical Mythology This course is an online introduction to Classical Greek and Roman mythology.  Meets the AIU requirement.

CLAS 230 (June 26-July 20) Greek and Roman Medical Terminology This is an online course designed to help students become familiar with medical terms that are rooted in Greek and Latin vocabulary.  No prior knowledge of Greek or Latin is required.  

LATN 109J (May 8- June 22) and LATN 110J (June 26- August 10) Learn the basics of the Latin language while also exploring Roman culture and civilization. Both J courses are FULLY ONLINE. Allows many students to complete CORE GFL requirement.

LATN 122 Elementary Latin (May 8-June 22—10:15-11:4) Offers further development of reading skills; gives students an opportunity to follow up 110 immediately and maximize opportunities for successful completion of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) language requirement.

 LATN 614 (May 8-June 22--5:15-6:40) Intensive Grammar Review in Latin This course is an accelerated introduction to Latin grammar for graduate students who need to qualify in a foreign language. 

LATN 615 (June 26-Aug 10--5:15-6:40 p.m.) Intensive Readings in Latin This course is an accelerated introduction to Latin literature for graduate students who need to qualify in a foreign language.  We will briefly survey Roman authors from the Classical age through the High Middle Ages. Final exam serves as the language competency exam for graduate students.
