 The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures is accepting applications for one full-time non-tenure track Instructor of German beginning August 15, 2017 at a 9 month salary of $42,000. These are on an annual appointment that must be renewed each year, contingent upon satisfactory performance, departmental needs, and the availability of funding.

Duties: Teach introductory through advanced Italian language courses (four classes per semester); prepare course syllabi and handouts; evaluate and grade student class work, assignments and papers; maintain required records including student attendance and grades; maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students; participate in program and departmental meetings and activities.  

Minimum Qualifications: A Master's degree in German or a related field is required and must be in hand by August 1, 2017. Evidence of teaching experience at the collegiate level and native or near-native fluency in Italian and English is expected.  Must currently be authorized to work in the US, without future need of any sponsorship for employment authorization.

Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. in German, or a related field.
