Prof. Camacho has published a new book

Please join us in congratulating Prof. Camacho on his latest book:"Las toman donde las hallan!" Once textos inéditos de José Martí

"The 11 crónicas (chronicles) that have been recovered by Professor Jorge Camacho and are presented here constitute a major contribution to perhaps the most irredeemable lacuna in the canon. With a dedication that confirms his devotion to his subject, Camacho poured through La Estrella de Panamá, and among thousands of miscellaneous articles, found eleven that can be unquestionably attributed to Martí. Ironically, the fact that they were "pirated" by another publication helped to preserve the original articles; but they would have languished there forever forgotten without his patience and perspicacity. It is impossible to make a more significant contribution to our knowledge of Martí than by discovering his lost works. Like Gonzalo de Quesada, Félix Lizaso and Carlos Ripoll, Jorge Camacho has entered the "selva" and brought back ripe fruit. This is a gift and cause for celebration among all martianos.”  Manuel A. Tellechea  (Editor junto con Carlos Ripoll de Seis crónicas inéditas de José Martí)
