Joel Myerson's Latest Books

New editions of Emerson add to his legacy

Joel Myerson, Carolina Distinguished Professor of American Literature, Emeritus, recently co-edited with Ronald Bosco Uncollected Prose Writings: Addresses, Essays, and Reviews (Harvard), the final volume in The Collected Works of Ralph Waldo Emerson. Myerson also served as textual editor for the final three volumes. It was designated by Choice as an “Outstanding Academic Book for 2013.” Also, he edited with Bosco Ralph Waldo Emerson: The Major Prose (Harvard, 2015), the first anthology to include sermons, lectures, and published prose.
