Congratulations to the 2012-2013 winner of the Cile Moise Award: Dean Clement!
Dean is a fourth-year PhD candidate in English Literature. His field of study is the English Renaissance, and his research interests include literary iterations of seventeenth-century political philosophy. His dissertation, Anarchic Wills: The Individual and Political Autonomy from More to Milton, studies the “antic dispositions” of characters from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. He has taught classes on critical thinking and writing, analytical writing, drama as literature, the monarchy in English Literature, and Renaissance Literature.
