Carolina Geography Faculty and Staff Speak on Climate Change at Regional Conference
Dr. Kirstin Dow, Kirsten Lackstrom, and Amanda Brennan, all associated with the Carolinas Integrated Sciences & Assessments (CISA) Center at the University of South Carolina, participated in the Carolina's Climate Resilience Conference, which was organized by CISA and held in Charlotte from April 28-29, 2014.
The Carolina's Climate Resilience Conference brought together practitioners, researchers, and staff from local, state, and federal agencies to share information about climate-related tools, resources, experiences, and activities in the Carolinas. The conference was designed with a very interactive format geared towards networking and exchange among stakeholders and decision makers throughout the region. In addition to Dow, Lackstrom and Brennan, who were co-chairs for the event, Dr. Greg Carbone contributed to a series of sessions on climate and climate modelling for the region. You can find out more about the conference, which was featured in the Charlotte Observer, here!
