Kevin Remington to lead GIS seminar at Center for Teaching Excellence

Kevin Remington to lead a seminar on incorporating GIS into research and teaching on October 30, 2014 from 2:30 - 4:00 pm at the Center for Teaching Excellence.

On October 30, 2014 Kevin Remington, along with Jonathan Leader of the Office of the State Archaeologist and Bill Sudduth of the Government Information and Maps Department at the Thomas Cooper Library, will facilitate a seminar that examines how GIS can be incorporated into research and teaching on the USC campus. Part of the Center for Teaching Excellence's "Voyages into the Technology Frontier" series, the panel will discuss how GIS can be used and what GIS resources are available to the USC community. The focus will be on the ways GIS can be used to visualize data, to enhance research, and even find new research questions. Click here for more information or to sign up to attend.
