Kwame Owusu-Daaku wins prestigious Borlaug Fellowship
Geography PhD student Kwame Owusu-Daaku has been selected as a Fellow for the Norman E. Borlaug Leadership Enhancement in Agriculture Program.
The Borlaug Leadership Enhancement in Agriculture Program (LEAP) recognizes the promise and potential of graduate students working in the area of food security. The fellowship, named in honor of Nobel Laureate Dr. Norman E. Borlaug, provides finanical support that enables students working in food security to focus solely on their research for a one-year term. The award is recognition Kwame's exciting work in the climate adaptation and its impacts on rural and urban poor livelihoods in the northern part of Ghana's Volta region. Kwame works as part of the Humanitarian Response and Development Lab in the Department of Geography.
