Arc Users (SCARC) on the web at: www.scarcgis.org. The 2013 state GIS conference was held in Columbia on February 11-12. Over 300 attendees interacted with vendors, attended one of 50 sessions and took advantage of post-conference technical workshops. Plans are underway already for an early 2014 Conference. University affiliates can direct they comments and suggestions, or volunteer their time to the conference by contacting Lynn Shirley (Geography) at: 803-777-4590. The South Carolina Geospatial Administrators Assn. is a group of professionals in the state focused on the administrative segment of GISciences.

The use of ESRI GIS products on campus is now being coordinated by the Department of Geography. Software contained in our campus license agreement with Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) is available to faculty, staff and students in departments, colleges or units who are participating in an MOA with the Geography Department, helping to defray the costs of software licensing.
