    The History Center will co-sponsor a book talk/signing on Thursday, December 6 at 5:30 at the Hollings Program Room of the Thomas Cooper Library. The book being launched is South Carolina Women: Their Lives and Times, Vol 3, edited by USC Professors Marjorie J. Spruill and Valinda Littlefield (who is also Director of USC’s African American Studies program), and Joan Marie Johnson of Northeastern Illinois University. The event is also to celebrate the completion of the entire three-volume anthology, South Carolina Women: Their Lives and Times. Volumes 1 and 2 appeared in 2009 and 2010. The anthology is published by the University of Georgia Press.
