Join us on Wednesday, 29 November 2017 at 4PM as University of MIssissippi's Howry Professor of Faulkner Studies Dr. Jay Watson delivers a talk titled "Slavery, Modernity, and the Turn Towards Death in the Black Atlantic World of Faulkner's Go Down, Moses." Dr. Watson is the author of Forensic Fictions: The Lawyer Figure in Faulkner and Reading for the Body: Recalcitrant Materiality in Southern Fiction, 1893-1985 and is the director of the Faulkner and Yoknapatawpha Conference at the University of Mississippi. The talk will be held in Gambrell 108 and is free and open to the public.
