Dr. Marienberg is an Assistant Professor and E.J. and Sara Evans Fellow of Jewish History and Culture at the Department of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a historian of religions and his research focuses on Jewish ritual law as well as on contemporary Catholicism. He received his Ph.D. from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris in 2002.
