A New Executive Editor in Town
Stanley Dubinsky was named the first executive editor of Language, the premiere journal of the Linguistic Society of America.
Stanley Dubinsky, a professor in the Linguistics Program, has been chosen as the first executive editor of “Language,” the premiere journal of the Linguistic Society of America and will provide editorial oversight of its print article content, working with the general editor of LSA publications.
Dubinsky, who joined USC’s faculty in 1991 and also directs the university’s Jewish Studies Program, is an expert in syntax, semantics and linguistic theory. A prolific writer, Dubinsky has written two books, including “Understanding Language through Humor,” which was released last year, three edited volumes and more than 50 journal articles. He previously served as book review editor for LSA’s journal “Language.”
