Research/ Academic Interests

Ruthanne's research interests include second and foreign language acquisition with a focus on EFL, teacher characteristics, the intersection of theory and pedagogy, and African Semitic languages. She is also interested in the complexities of language acquisition in the midst of trauma, particularly in the case of refugees.
