POLI Graduate Students organize Inaugural Conference
The Department’s Political Science Graduate Student Organization (PSGSO) will be hosting its Inaugural Political Science Graduate Student Conference on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013 at the Inn at USC in Columbia, SC.
The conference will feature twenty-seven presentations, nine of which are from students outside of the University of South Carolina, representing seven other graduate programs in four states and two foreign countries! Panels will represent the fields of International Relations, Comparative Politics, Public Administration, Political Theory, Judicial Politics and American Politics. Awards for best paper will be announced at the conference.
The PSGSO is especially excited to announce Dr. Donald Green as the conference’s Keynote Speaker. Dr. Green is now in his second year at Columbia University after having been a part of Yale’s faculty for twenty-two years. He is the author of four books and over one hundred journal articles. His research interests include voting behavior, partisanship, campaign finance, hate crime, and research methods (especially experimental research).
