Charles Finocchiaro wins CQ Press Award
Associate Professor Charles Finocchiaro, together with co-author Scott MacKenzie of the University of California, Davis, has won the CQ Press Award for the best paper on legislative studies at the 2012 annual meeting of the American Political Science Association. The Award recognizes outstanding work, and has been won by a number of leading scholars in the legislative studies field. The paper, titled "From Wild Horses to Work Horses: Electoral System Reform and Legislative Entrepreneurship in the House of Representatives," examines the impact of ballot reforms and primary elections on the number and types of bills sponsored by members of Congress.
