Congratulations to Graduate Students Monica Lineberger and Ali Masood

PhD Student Monica Lineberger is a recipient of the American Political Science Association (APSA) Law & Courts Section's "Best Graduate Student Posters for 2015" award. A new award from the section, it "recognizes the best graduate student posters selected for presentation at the annual conference," with selections made by the division organizers. Monica's poster was entitled "Comparing Judiciaries Cross Nationally: The Opportunity/Willingness Framework."

This award comes on the heels of notification earlier this year that Lineberger and fellow PhD student Ali Masood would be receiving the 2015 Best Graduate Student Paper Award of the Law and Courts Section for their paper "United Kingdom, United Courts? The Hierarchical Impact of Precedent in the British Judiciary," which they presented at the Southern Political Science Association's 2014 annual meeting. The citation to the award, which they received earlier this month at the APSA's annual meeting in San Francisco, notes that their work "shed important new light on the factors that influence compliance with precedent within the judiciary of the United Kingdom."

Congratulations Monica and Ali!
