Graduate Students Win Best Paper Award

Monica Lineberger and Ali Masood, PhD students in USC's Department of Political Science, will be receiving the Best Graduate Student Paper Award from the Law & Courts Section of the American Political Science Association at the upcoming meeting in San Francisco. This award, selected by a committee from among several nominees, goes to the best paper presented by graduate students (no faculty allowed as coauthors) at conferences in the previous calendar year. Their paper, “United Kingdom, United Courts? The Hierarchical Impact of Precedent in the British Judiciary,” was presented at the 2014 meeting of the Southern Political Science Association. Congratulations to Monica and Ali, as well as to their faculty mentors, Professors Kirk Randazzo and Donald Songer.
