Welcome to our newest faculty member Alex Ruder
Professor Alex Ruder, PhD Princeton University, joins the Department as an assistant professor and will be teaching courses primarily in the public administration program. Prior to joining USC, Professor Ruder was a researcher at the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University, where he conducted research on employment and higher education policy and was a principal researcher under the State of New Jersey Workforce Data Quality Initiative. His additional policy experience includes working as a program and policy analyst for the State of Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. He is also currently appointed as a visiting non-resident scholar at the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University.
His work has appeared or is forthcoming in the Quarterly Journal of Political Science and Presidential Studies Quarterly. He also co-authored a chapter in the forthcoming book Transforming U.S. Workforce Development Policies for the 21st Century, to be published by The Upjohn Press. His research is currently funded by the Russell Sage Foundation and the State of New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.Thursday, August 20, 2015
