Linux Lab

PSC room 101

PSC 101 is scientific computing lab with 20 Linux computers. Linux is a free Unix-type operating system originally created by Linus Torvalds. Prior approval is need to reserved this lab. Contact the Research Computing Center for information about applications, servers and to reserve this lab.

Installed Software

Some of the major software packages available in the PSC 101 lab include:

  • ProMax
  • Spartan
  • Mathematica
  • Maple

Courses are scheduled in this lab throughout the semester but the room is still available for short term class use. If you would like access to the lab for teaching or research purposes, request access through the Research Computing Center
