GeoRapider Cluster

System Overview

The GeoRapider Cluster is sponsored by Dr. Zhenlong Li at the Department of Geography. It consists of 12 Dell PowerEdge R220/R230 compute nodes, with 4-Core Intel Xeon E3-1231 3.4GHz processors per node, for a total of 28 cores. It is configured with 96 GB of total memory and 5TB of disk space. GeoRapider cluster is designated for geography big data application on Hadoop database.
