Basic Set / Outside the Factory

Basic idea is for industrial portal to frame play. Elements in portal are variations of weathered aged chrome. Chrome color should allow for lighting to paint portal in many different richly saturated hues for musical numbers. Portal should lassos be able to recede when needed. For the inside factory rehearsal scenes, the portal elements are part of the decor.

Sliding chain link fence panels are moved into various configurations to change volume of space and create different compositions.

Cyc is a constructed flat and creates a narrow horizontal band. Black duv covered groundrow creates industrial skyline profile along bottom of cyc.

Elements that play inside the portal like props and set pieces are full color and should pop out from the muted portal color. Some elements are painted illusions on cutout profiles like the factory exterior shown in this rendering.
