The first-year MFA Acting students will perform an abridged version of Shakespeare's Hamlet, which has been dubbed Hamlet Rehearsed.  During the performance, each of the actors will trade off the title role.  Professor Robyn Hunt says that the athleticism of the performance will "connect table work on the text with the physical training [the students] have done this year."

In addition to the shortened Shakespeare play, the actors will perform a movement piece entitled Half Life of Facts.  "The piece utilizes research the actors did on widely-shared ideas -- once held as truth -- that changed when new information emerged," says Hunt.  "Much of the vocabulary of the dance is taken from sequences the actors have generated."

Admission is free.
