MFA Actors Present Two Performance Showcases

The first-year MFA Acting class will present two end-of-year showcases April 23 - 27.

The eight actors of the current MFA Acting class will present two showcases representing the culmination of their first year of graduate training, April 23-27.

First, a Dance Theatre Showcase, directed by Professor Robyn Hunt, will be presented at The Center for Performance Experiment, the students' training center located at 718 Devine St.  Three unique pieces will be performed during the showcase.

Dates/times for the Dance Theatre Showcase are:
April 23: 11pm - 12pm
April 24: 1:30pm - 2:30pm

Next, on April 27, the actors will present a production of Shakspeare's classic Hamlet, directed by Steven Pearson.  In this imaginative presentation, actors will switch roles throughout the presentation, giving each a chance to take on Shakespeare's iconic characters.  Hamlet will be presented at Longstreet Theatre (1300 Greene St.).

Showtimes for Hamlet are 1:30pm and 5:30pm.

Admission for all showcase performances is free.
