Adjunct Faculty. Contemporary Technique, Pilates, Dance Appreciation. MFA, NYU Tisch School of the Arts
Stephanie Wilkins received her Masters of Fine Arts in Dance Performance & Choreography from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she had the amazing opportunity to dance for Bebe Miller and David Parsons. She also worked for many other choreographers in NYC, including Sean Curran, Nina Winthrop, Aleta Hayes, Lisa Naugle and Barbara Bryan, as well as showing her own work. She performed at venues all over the city, such as Joyce Soho, Arts at University Settlement, Judson Church, St. Mark's Church, and Jacob's Pillow in MA. She has taught, choreographed and performed extensively in New York, San Francisco, and Brazil at the Uai Q Danca Theatre in Uberlandia, Brazil. She also received her Pilates certification in New York and returned to her hometown of Columbia, SC to open KayLynn Pilates with her mother, Vicki Beatty. Stephanie has been on the adjunct dance faculty at Coker College and Columbia College, as well as a guest instructor at Princeton University. She danced for seven years with The Power Company, a professional contemporary dance collective in Columbia, SC, but is now starting her own company. She is currently an Adjunct Dance Professor at the University of South Carolina, where she teaches Contemporary Technique, Pilates, and Dance Appreciation.
