The Open Book

2017 Open Book Series

The Open Book is a literary series and community read rolled into one. You are welcome to attend all ten nights as a public course--or just come out to hear a new favorite author. The 2017 Series will run Mondays and Wednesdays for five weeks: March 27 - April 26, 6-7 pm. Each Monday will feature host Elise Blackwell (or a guest speaker) discussing that week's book, followed by the author's talk on Wednesday. Author visits conclude with a book-signing reception. All of the talks except for the April 19 lecture by Jonathan Franzen will be held in the Campus Room on the first floor of the Capstone Building. Mr. Franzen will speak in Hootie Johnson Hall. Sponsored by the College of Arts & Sciences, The Open Book is free and open to all.
