Caitlin Wagner & Emily Schwalbe join the MRD for Internships
This year we have had two interns. Caitlin Wagner and Emily Schwlabe
Caitlin Wagner was our social media intern for the spring 2016 semester. She just completed her freshman year at college of Charleston and is already embarking on her career as an archaeologist. She will be transferring to William and Mary to pursue archaeology. Caitlin did an excellent job, she created a database for us to draw on when creating social media posts both for #thisDayInMaritimeHistory and #TalkLikeApirate. Caitlin did a significant amount of archival research. She is welcome to come back anytime and we are sad to lose her!
Emily Schwalbe is a graduate student at East Carolina University studying maritime archaeology. Emily is writing her thesis on Blockade Runners. She is here in Charleston for the summer, completing an internship both at Warren Lasch Conservation Center and here at the MRD. She is working on our artifact documentation program. She will be documenting our teaching collection and assisting us with site visits and archaeological work.
