Pre-Service Opportunities
The South Carolina Geographic Alliance offers free pre-service workshops for South Carolina colleges and universities. The principal goal of the SCGA is to promote geography education at all academic levels from kindergarten to higher education.
We are available to visit Teaching Methods courses and will demonstrate geography lessons that are written using the SC Social Studies Standards. This service is provided at no cost to the colleges and universities and is an excellent way to introduce pre-service teachers to a professional organization that can assist them as they begin their teaching career.
