Summer Geography Institute
Each year the South Carolina Geographic Alliance sponsors an Alliance Summer Geography Institute at the University of South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina. The Institute is a one-week training program intended to increase teachers' knowledge of geography, introduce teachers to new teaching techniques and materials, and help them develop skills in presenting in-service workshops to other teachers. All K-12 teachers, pre-service students, and those involved with K-12 education outreach are invited to apply. The next SUMMER INSTITUTE is June 21-27, 2015.
