A trip to Georgetown would hardly be complete without a stop by the local art galleries, and one would be hard pressed to find a gallery that wasn't angling to display and sell the handcrafted dolls of artist Zenobia Washington. Now an Artist in Residence with the South Carolina Art Commission, Zenobia's custom dolls reflect her pride for her Gullah heritage and are a colorful celebration of the blend of Lowcountry and African culture that makes Georgetown so unique.
